Receiver update

If a receiver update is nessecary it can be done via the FlightCtrl.

$/!\$ If the update fails and you get only a blank backlit display the bootloader and the software have to be installed new.
You can get the required files for a new update with instructions how to do it directly from the Graupner-Service.

Download the Graupner-Software

The nessecary files can be found in the Graupner-Websites.

Please check the part number in the filenames
Example: The receiver GR-16 (No.33508) needs a file like "33508_gr_rx8_4a90_f9.bin"

The MKUSB must be directly connected to the FC!

The Firmware in the FC must be 0.86 or later

Use the Koptertool Firmware Update & Terminal...

Use the right click in the grey field next to the update button
Use the dialog "Activate HoTT update mode"

After closing the warning message the KopterTool closes and the FC opens a direct data connection between the USB and the HoTT-Receiver.

Now disconnect the 3-line-cable (sum-signal-cable) from the receiver. (the 1-line Data-cable remains connected).

Now you can start the Graupner-program: Graupner_Firmware_Update_Utility_VerX.XX.exe

After the program is running:

Only the Data-cable is connected!

select Interface 1:Signal 2:Vcc 3:Gnd.
select Baudrate: 19200.
select COM-Port (same like MK-USB).
Use the file for your receiver.
- for GR-16 use 33508_gr_rx8_4a90_f9.bin
- for GR-12 use 33506_gr_rx6_amp_2a20_e9.bin
- for GR-24 use 33512_gr_rx12_2a40_bf.bin
Click the button program (-> the tool searches now for a receiver).
Now press and hold the "SET" button on the receiver and connect the 3-line PPM-receiver-cable to the receiver (the receiver will power up).
